My Amy Winehouse interpretation was my favourite out of the four outcomes. I think it works best and i most enjoyed designing this one. I used cutting, pasting and scanning etc to create a torn and put back together image. It is meant to reflect Amy Winehouse's struggle with alcohol, drugs and her eating disorder. But she has been to rehab and hopefully on the mend, so this is why i put the ripped up text back together, signifying her deterioration of health, but recovery as well.
I found Peaches Geldof quite interesting to do. Some of the ideas i made though looked too young and sweet in my opinion. The overlapping and layering of text reflects her outspoken manner, and the bold sections of text are meant to show how she answers in interviews with quite monosylabic sharp answers. I kept the colours bright and quite young as she is known to be a bit of a party girl.
My Gordon Brown interpretation is laid out completely traditionally, with no obviously different layout ideas or typeface choices, as he wants to come across as a trustworthy, good person. I printed it on acetate though as polititians aren't trusted a lot of the time and be quite see through with the things they say. Cherie Blair was also supposed to be heard calling Gordon Brown a 'liar' as he talked about his and Tony Blairs relationship buring one of his speaches.
I thought the Brangelina outcome was the hardest to come up with. I first came up with linking the text with film, as they are constantly in the media spotlight. But I wasn't thinking enough about the actual typeface or layout choices. I gave Angelina Jolie a slightly fancy larger text and Brad Pitt more simple as I see him as more reserved. They start both the same size, with teir own positions on the page, but as the soliloquy goes on, Brad Pitts lines decrease in size and Angelina becomes more dominant. Their lines' positioning merge together and end up both on Angelina's side as I tried to reflect the idea of Brad Pitt maybe being more of his own person before he met Angelina Jolie, and how Angelina Jolie sometimes said to have stolen him of Jennifer Aniston.
